Ingredients

  • Sour cream (to serve it with)
  • 2 Beetroots
  • 200g Tomato sauce
  • 250g Beans
  • Parsley (to serve it with)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Vegetable broth
  • 1 big onion
  • 2 big carrots
  • 300 - 400 g Potatoes

Optional ingredients

  • Bread
  • Buckwheat
  • Nutmeg
  • Piment

Appliances

  • One pit on the stove and one large pot
  • Grater
  • Blender (optional)

Where to get them?

  • Any supermarket!

Instructions:

  1. Chop beets, carrots, potatoes, and onions.
  2. In a large pot, sauté onions in a bit of oil until soft. Add the rest of the vegetables and cook for a few minutes.

3. Pour in beef or vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer until all vegetables are tender. Season with salt, pepper, and a splash of vinegar to taste. Add minced garlic for extra flavor. Serve hot, garnished with a dollop of sour cream and fresh dill.
