We’ve all heard the disappointing news; curfew is being extended in the Netherlands until March 15th. We have all done every possible activity there is to do at home. I think it is time we just give in to the boredom and browse on the internet all day. While most quarantine guides will tell you that is the last thing anyone should be doing, it is exactly what I am advising you to do. The internet contains so much information. It is an endless source of entertainment. To make the browsing a little easier for you, I have listed a couple entertaining websites to get you through what will hopefully be the last lockdown.

1. Music-Map
The first website I would like to talk about is called Music-Map. All you have to do is fill in the name of an artist you really enjoy, and the site will do the rest for you. It will give you a map of a bunch of artists related to the one you entered giving you a great way to discover new music and artists.

2. GeoGuessr
The second website I personally really enjoy is GeoGuessr. It has been around for a while but has become increasingly more popular lately. This website is an online game you can play with friends or even by yourself. All you have to do is create an account and you can get started. The website will put you in a random place on google street view giving you some time to walk around and think about where you ended up on the globe. Eventually, you will have to guess where in the world you are. The player who guesses closest wins. You can even break your own personal records. This is the closest you will get to traveling the world within the comfort of your own home.

3. Make Me a Cocktail
If you really think about it, now is the best time to start day drinking. Online classes can also be done from the toilet or the floor. Which leads me to the next site Make Me a Cocktail, giving you the chance to discover cocktail recipes with the ingredients you have in your house. This is a great way to use all the supplies in your own home and simultaneously discover new drinks.

4. Plant Jammer
Technically this next one is not a website but an app, but I wanted to include it since it can complement the previous website. The app is called Plant Jammer and it has the same principle as Make Me a Cocktail but with food. You can fill in what you have in the house and it will suggest recipes if you are ever feeling uninspired.

5. Calligraphr
The next one is for people with pretty handwriting and is called Calligraphr. This site lets you make a font out of your own handwriting. All you have to do is create an account, free of charge, and you can make unlimited fonts.

6. Radio Garden
Another fun music related website is Radio Garden. This website will give you a map of the world, where you can visit any place and hear the local radio station broadcast in that location . You can also search for specific cities and radio stations. This one is especially great for the internationals who want to listen to what’s on the radio in their own country.

7. Akinator
The seventh website I would like to suggest for when you are bored is Akinator. This website has a genie that can guess every real-life or fictional character you can possibly think of. All you do is think of a well-known person, fictional or not and the genie will start asking you questions until it figures out who you were thinking of. Now this may not sound that exciting, but I challenge you to think of a character the genie will not be able to guess. This website also has an app that also guesses objects, tv-series and movies. You can play around with it for hours.

8. The Useless Web
So far, the main websites I wanted to talk about. However if you are in need of more random interesting websites, I have one more website to keep you going. It is called The Useless Web. This website will show you a button that says, “Take me to a useless website” and will then do exactly that. One of my personal favourites I have found on there is Always Judge a Book by its Cover which is basically just a list of the weirdest books ever written. There are so many more websites to be discovered with this.

So next time you are bored, go do what your parents tell you not to do, and spend hours on the internet. Have fun!
