CW is a well-known broadcaster with a repertoire filled with famous series such as Riverdale, Arrow, Supernatural, etc. This time a new CW original filled with drama, betrayal, and lies – as well with family, loyalty, and trusts. This series has been on air for three years now and I’ve only known about it since recently, which is a shame. But don’t worry, I’m going to tell you about it now, so you don’t have to be ashamed of not knowing nor ever having seen it. Oh, and I have already caught up with almost everything so I can fill you in with how amazing this series is.

If you love drama, this series will fill up your miserable, desiring heart. The series is about a VERY rich family residing in Atlanta, owning the most influential corporation of its state, Carrington Atlantic. Of course, with such an influential company there will be many enemies, competitors, and consequences whom this family tries to fight off. However, not only are there external factors creating chaos within this series, but also internal factors – such as heartbreaks, lies, rejection, and so on. The family consists of Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies), Blake Carrington (Grant Show), and Steven Carrington (James MacKay).

In the very first season, you will find two of America’s wealthiest families, Carrington and Colby, feud for control over their fortune and children. Fallon is about to become the new COO of her father’s global energy empire – or so she thinks. Along with her brother Steven, Fallon is horrified to learn that they were called home, not to announce her promotion, but rather to make acquaintance with their stepmother-to-be, Cristal. When Blake chooses Cristal over his own daughter, Fallon sides with Blake’s biggest rival, Jeff Colby, to seek her revenge. Meanwhile, when Cristal’s nephew, Sammy Jo, comes to town, her carefully concealed history could bring her future crashing down – and who knows who else she might take with her.

The show has won a People’s Choice Award for Favourite Revival Show, and was nominated twice:

• Choice TV Actor: Drama for Adam Huber (Liam Ridley, EP15 S1) - Teen Choice Awards

• Campy TV Show of The Year – Dorian Awards

Furthermore, the show has received a 7.3/10 rating on IMDb and ranked, 5 of most-watched series on Netflix in the UK. Yes, you read that correctly. The show is also available on Netflix. However, as per usual, Netflix is always a little bit late so only season 1 and 2 are available. Season 3 will be on Netflix per May 2020, so hang in there a little longer.
