It is fall! The season of pumpkin spice latte’s, cardigans, scented candles, and finally: reading books! Fall is the season to light some candles, get yourself a cup of tea, a blanket, and read a good book. If you’re a reader like me, then you’re probably on BookTok. So, to welcome fall in, here are some of my favourite BookTok books!
The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo – Taylor Jenkins Reid

Evelyn Hugo is a Hollywood icon from the 50s. When she is 79, she decides it’s time to tell all her secrets and stories from her life. Evelyn only wants Monique Grant, an unknown magazine reporter, to write this story for some reason. Evelyn tells Monique everything about her so-called glamorous life and her seven husbands, but little do you know, there weren’t only husbands……... But then it becomes clear that Monique and Evelyn’s lives intersect unexpectedly.
This book has everything! It has forbidden love, drama, friendship. It made me laugh and cry. Probably one of my favourite books ever. It’s just such a captivating and memorable story. A must-read if you ask me!
The cruel prince – Holly Black
Genre: Fantasy
★ ★ ★ ★/5
This book tells the story of Jude. When Jude was 7 years old, her parents were murdered by a weird-looking man with a sword. This man took Jude and her sister with him to Elfhame, a land for elves. It’s 10 years later and Jude tries hard to fit in Elfhame as a human. Then Jude gets the chance to become a spy for Crown Prince Daine. She thinks she has finally found her place, but nothing is as it seems in Elfhame.
This book was my first fantasy book and I loved it so much that I read the whole series in one breath! It took a while for the story to get interesting, but it gets so fascinating and exciting. I love that this book is about a strong, independent female warrior, and it’s also enemies to lovers. However, I do like the other ones in this series better. The other books have a lot more action and the story gets so much more captivating. Book one is more an introduction to the whole series for the most part.
Red, white and royal blue – Casey McQuiston
Genre: Romance

This love story follows Alex Claremont-Diaz, son of the President of the United States. Alex has a great reputation, there is only one problem that doesn’t match this reputation. They become friends very quickly and then it grows into something even more. Alex is confused about what he is feeling and his sexuality but then realizes that he really likes Henry. But they need to keep it a secret because Alex’s mom is running for president again and Henry must marry a woman as future king. Will they get their happily ever after?
I loved this book! It’s such a cute and sweet love story. The book had me on my toes from start to end. Definitely lives up to the hype!
Ugly love – Colleen Hoover
Genre: Romance

Tate Collins is a nurse that’s going to live with her brother. That’s when she meets her brother's friend, pilot Miles Archer. You can't call them friends, but they do have a strong attraction to each other. They make a deal, friends with benefits, not love. Miles only has 2 rules for Tate: Never ask about the past. Don't expect a future. They soon both realize they can't handle this, only Miles won't admit it because of his traumatic past. Will they end up together?
Colleen Hoover couldn’t miss this list, she is THE BookTok writer in my opinion. I love her writing style. Specifically for this book, I like that it has 2 pov’s and flashbacks to Miles his past. The story takes such an unexpected turn and I cried my eyes out...
I hope you got inspired to read some of these books this Fall! They are for sure some of my favorites and I can’t wait for you to read them too! So, get your cup of tea and blankets and let’s start reading. If you actually read one of these books, let me know what you thought!
