To start with, why we need cross cultural training?

Because we see what we want to see (we perceive differently compared to what we observe). One of the most important aspect in an international organization is the ability to leverage cultural differences between individuals. Cross cultural awareness training is an effective way to create a comfortable work environment for people come from different ethnic background.  The training will enlighten individuals about cultural gaps (we see what we want to see) and provide necessary tools to bridge cultural gaps and adopt to different situations.

  • For whom?

All BUas students who are curious about other cultures, who want to improve their interpersonal communication skills in an international environment, who want to apply equality to everyone. Or who experiences uncomfortable feelings in their workplace, who want to explore themselves and their own cultures.

  • What will you learn?

Understand Global mindset, increase awareness and appreciation of other cultures, learn skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse individuals.

Through this training, students are also exposed to facts and information about their own cultures, perception and believe, which they may never considered in previous. They will learn more about themselves through learning about other cultures. The training helps us to break down communication barriers between cultures, such as preconceptions, prejudices and stereotypes.

This training can also provide more self-confidence in interpersonal communication by overcome some difficult challenges and obstacles, which may motivate individuals begin to see their role in an international workplace. Eventually, students can listen to each other better, find a common ground, and understand each other.

  • Fun part

International coffee and tea breaks with some 'international snacks. Role playing games and sharing some personal funny stories while encounter foreigner cultures.
