Even though November has begun, if you are still feeling like some Halloween fun, then here are some activities for you to try. Because of covid, last year a lot of things were cancelled. But this year things seem better, and we have lots more fun possibilities. Don’t you have a clue what you want to do this season? Then don’t worry! I have made a list with 5 fun activities you can do this autumn.

  1. Carve some pumpkins

The first fun activity you can do alone, or with your friends. Go to your nearest pumpkin farm and get yourself some pumpkins. You can carve smileys or come up with something else, be creative! If you don’t like carving pumpkins, make yourself some pumpkin soup 😉. You can get pumpkins at your local supermarket or a farm. One farm near Breda is called ''leemans pompoenen'', it's located in Dongen.

  1. Go to an Escaperoom

Escaperooms can be very exciting and thrilling. Figuring out puzzles, riddles and mysteries. Usually within a timeframe of an hour. Escape rooms have different genres like horror or crime, which makes it even more thrilling. Even a fun fact, escape rooms originate from computer games. There are many escape rooms in and near Breda. One of them called Escape Room 076 is located at the Karnemelkstraat and has 3 rooms. You can even go in teams and battle against each other!

  1. Go to a Halloween amusement park

Every year at the amusement park Bobbejaanland in Belgium, Halloween nights takes place until November 7th. For two weeks the whole amusement park is Halloween themed with scary actors walking around the park. If you’re really feeling confident, try visiting the haunted house. But be warned…

  1. Movie night

Turn all the lights off, put some candles on and take every blanket you can find. One of my favorite things to do during Halloween is watching horror movies, but not alone of course. There are many kinds of horror movies. You can watch slasher movies, ghost movies, zombie movies and so much more. One horror movie which I really liked watching this year was ''Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark''. You can watch it on Prime Video and Netflix.  If you're not really into scary movies but want something spooky but not terrifying, try watching old horror movies. Usually, the graphics look very fake which makes it less scary. A good example of an old horror movie is ''Chucky''.

  1. Game night

What is scarier than horror movies? Horror games ofcourse! And I don’t mean card games, I mean computer games. What makes computer games scarier than films? It’s the interaction. You can’t predict anything that happens, everything is in your control, which makes it terrifying, at least for me. Some popular horror games right now are Phasmophopia, Dead by Daylight, Outlast and Resident Evil. If you want to play something cheap and simple, check out Pacify.
