Ever wondered what your favorite tea flavor says about you?

I’d like to think that just like your star sign, the things you like and do have a small impact on the type of person you are. Things like how many alarms you set in the mornings or what your favorite movie is. As I was deciding on what my next article should be, I was drinking a cup of Rooibos tea. Then I thought, why not write about people’s favorite types of tea? Now, this article is based on my opinion and my experience with different tea drinkers, so don’t take it too seriously. If you feel like you’ve been roasted by this article, please feel free to send an email to ItsNotThatDeep@buas.nl. Anyways, if you’ve ever wondered what your favorite tea flavor says about you, then this article is just your cup of tea!

Green Tea

Green tea drinkers are the type of people that will drink a kale/broccoli smoothie and pretend it’s good. They like to wake up early and try to get you to wake up earlier too. They like to organize their life in a very creative way, which means they’ll either arrive somewhere way too early or way too late. They are always down to go on a nature walk but will also drink an entire bottle of vodka on a night out.

Earl Grey

People that drink earl grey for some reason always come off a little British. They might even put milk in their tea (I’ve recently learned that this is apparently not a common thing to do). They fall in the same boat as green tea drinkers, but instead of waking up early to be productive, they’ll wake up to watch the latest episode of their favorite tv show (which is probably Peaky Blinders). In a friend group, they come across as the responsible ones but will make bad decisions when provoked.

Mint and Ginger Tea

For some reason, people that drink mint or ginger tea are always very attractive. They radiate the kind of laid-back, easygoing confidence that I aspire to have (but I dislike mint and ginger tea with a passion so I’m afraid I’ll never get to that level). They will spend hours sitting in a cute little coffee store trying to get some schoolwork done, just to end up only having made a schedule.

Rooibos

People that drink rooibos tea like safe options. They’ll drink tea from time to time but are not really hardcore tea fans. They’re usually very chill people, that are fine with almost everything. They will probably run away from any type of conflict they face. Rooibos people sometimes like to try new things but on top of that know what type of stuff they like and will stick with it. Also, their favorite season is definitely autumn.

Lemon Tea

Are there even people who drink lemon tea?

Chamomile Tea

Chamomile tea drinkers are very open people. They might even be a little bit spiritual and will for sure believe in alternative healing methods (I’m not authorized to give medical advice, but maybe try to go to the doctor if you’re not feeling well). They’re the type of people that will go to their grandma’s place and listen intently to what Granny has to say. They give off eldest sibling energy, especially toward rooibos tea drinkers.

Chai and Macha Tea

Remember those hardcore tea fans that I briefly mentioned before? Chai and Macha drinkers are these types of people. They will spend around 6 euros at Starbucks about 4 times a week and then complain about being broke. They’re the people that love to step out of their comfort zone, and don’t care about what other people think about their somewhat ‘quirky’ personality traits.

To be fair, people are going to like what they like. Who am I to judge right? I hope this article at least made you laugh a bit and let us know what your favorite tea flavor is!
