Who’s the prettiest of them all?
Well, that actually depends on which country you’re from.
Each continent has their own special beauty rituals, believed to make you prettier.
We live in a big world with many different cultures, and with the digital media nowadays we can learn a lot from one another.
The borders are gone, so let's uncover some beauty secrets.

Let’s go to Asia first.

Ever heard of glass skin? A skin that is as smooth and shiny as glass. Well, in Korea they are nailing this look as they are known to be the kings and queens of skincare. One of the things they do there, which is said to improve your skin, is slapping your products in. With force. It is believed that this will stimulate the blood circulation.

Are you already slapping your skin while reading this? You might save yourself from some wrinkles doing so. Don’t be surprised when you catch me in the bathroom slapping my face.

Another product you might have heard of is the Gua Sha. A Gua Sha is a Chinese medicine technique where a smooth stone is brushed across the skin. It reduces puffiness, smooths wrinkles and might give you a jawline as sharp as Angelina Jolie’s. They can be made of crystals as well. Buy one made from rose quarts and you will possibly attract all the love you desire. Worth a try, I think.

The Middle Eastern keeps many beauty secrets as well.

If you want eyes as mesmerizing as those of sirens, you should consider using kohl. The original goal of putting on kohl was protecting your eyes from infections. It was also believed it would protect your eyes from the sun. Drawing a line of kohl in your waterline and in your inner corner will give you a cat eye look. Only do this if you want the power to enchant everyone with your gaze.

Another beauty secret originating from the Middle East is rose water. It is said that even Cleopatra used to recommend this to her handmaidens. It is believed to fight against aging and can even heal scars. Spray it on every morning and night to look younger, smell like roses, and feel like Cleopatra.

When looking at the African cultures, we can unravel some secrets as well.

A tradition in Africa is to have smoke baths. A bundle of dried herbs will be burned and the smoke that comes from it is supposed to cleanse all negative energy present and bless the person and place. It is also believed to have physical benefits, such as relaxing your muscles. Besides the fact that it works for relaxing, some believe that it can also heal wounds and smooth your skin.

African black soap is also a widely praised product. It might look like mud but the effects it has on your skin and hair aren’t muddy at all. It for example helps against greasy hair and fights acne.
Lastly, if you want beautiful thick lashes and maybe thicken your eyebrows, try using castor oil. It is a very thick oil so be careful if you don’t want to get too greasy.

With these tips you might enter a new glow up!
I personally always love trying new beauty hacks and even if they don't work, you will already feel prettier trying them out and it never hurts trying something new.
I recommend buying a crystal Gua Sha I love crystals and also noticed that my jawline and cheekbones have gotten more visible.
