Can’t concentrate at home or don’t know where else to go besides school? I got you! Here are 5 very chill and calm places to study in Breda.  

Anne&Max 

Anne&Max is a lovely place to study. This place is called the living room in the city. It is a big but cosy café where you are always free to open your laptop or arrange meetings. The spot is mostly known for their delicious coffees, but they also have a menu filled with a variety of fair-trade and vegan food and drink options. Anne&Max is open at 8:00 till 17:00, perfect when you have a day off and want to sit somewhere rather in your own house.  

Coffeelab

Another coffee spot in the city is called Coffeelab. This place is located near the station. Coffeelab is specially set up for people looking for a good workplace. In the back, there is a quiet room which consist of 30 desks for which you must make a reservation in advance. You pay €0,10 per minute but in exchange for that you get free hot drinks while studying. A perfect deal! 

Library Nieuwe Veste

Library Nieuwe Veste is the main library of the city. It is located in the city centre of Breda and it is a real hot spot for students. The place itself is very big but it can also be a bit crowded. To have a good spot you need to be there early in the morning. The library opens at 8:00 and in the weekdays it is open till 22:00, which is really helpful for after a day of school. The advantage of the library is that you are not obliged to buy food or drinks, so you are free to bring your own snacks which makes the day also less expensive. The prices for the food are already quite cheap, but if you bring your student card you can also get discount on your order. Win-win situation! 

De Basis

Perhaps you may know this place from its previous name ‘Inspire coffee company'. De Basis is a new concept where you can study during the day but end off with a nice after-work drink. De Basis is located in the city centre and when you sit upstairs you have the perfect view of the ‘Grote markt’ of Breda. The Basis gives you a homely and cosy feeling where you can sit alone with your laptop but also can enjoy food and drinks with some nice company. The menu is very varied, and the prices are affordable. It’s the perfect place to finish your tasks and to relax at the end of the day. They are open from 10:30 till 22:00. 

Bagels & Beans

The name says it all. Bagels & Beans offers you mouth-watering bagels which you can enjoy with their amazing coffee assortments. This place has 2 branches in the city centre. The branch located at Vlaszak is a little bit bigger than the one located at Van Coothplein where it is far more cosier. Also, this place is laptop-friendly, and the prices of the bagels are very affordable and delicious at the same time. Bagels & Beans is open from 8:30 till 17:00 at Vlaszak and from 8:30 till 17:30 at Van Coothplein.
