There are some mysteries that may never be solved. Even though the truth might be out there, it doesn’t mean we will ever find it. Here is a list of unsolved mysteries that will leave you wondering what happened…

1. Sickening noises
In December of 2016, three different CIA officers all suffered from nausea, headache and dizziness. In late 2018 there were 26 more of these cases in America and 13 in Canada. All these cases had one thing in common, the victims claimed that the symptoms they had were triggered by strange noises they would hear in homes or hotel rooms. The sound descriptions varied between the victims, some described it as a high pitch noise while others insisted that it sounded like marbles rolling along the floor. Medical experts were left bewildered. Doctors at the University of Pennsylvania examined a few of the victims but found no signs that they suffered from any concussions. After getting recordings of the sounds that some of the victims heard, it only added to the confusion of medical experts instead of having a better understanding. Two scientists believed that the sound would come from a Lovelorn male cricket. “You can hear them from inside a diesel truck going 40 miles an hour on the highway.” Alexander Stubbs of the University of California concluded. However, scientists were still left clueless on how the sound might have caused the symptoms of the humans.

2. Who is DB Cooper?
In November of 1971, Dan Cooper was a passenger on the Northwest Airlines flight 305, flying from Portland to Seattle. He was described as a man, mid 40’s, wearing a dark suit, black tie with a Mother-of-Pearl tie-clip, and a neatly pressed white collared shirt by passengers and flight attendants. He ordered a bourbon soda, lid up a cigarette and took a seat on the plane. Shortly after take-off of the 30 min flight, he handed a note to the flight attendant. She ignored the note thinking it was him giving his phone number. After Dan Cooper noticed that the 23-year-old flight attendant ignored his note he suggested that she better take a look at the note because he would be in possession of a bomb. What was exactly on the note is still unknown since Cooper took the note back after she had read it. In the note he demanded that he would get $200,000 in “negotiable American currency” (worth $1 million today), four parachutes, and a fuel truck standing by in Seattle to refuel the plane on arrival. The flight attendant rushed to the captain and he told the passengers that they had to make a landing due to mechanical difficulties. The plane landed and the airline employees delivered a cash-filled knapsack and parachutes he asked for. Cooper allowed all the passengers on the plane to leave. He told the crew that wanted to take course toward Mexico and have a refuelling stop at Nevada. The plane took off after two hours, however, when it landed in Reno, Cooper was nowhere to be found. He was never heard from again and no parachute was found. The ransom money was never used.

3. What happened to the Sodder children?
George and Jennie Sodder were not only confronted with the immeasurable loss of their children but also had to deal with the mysteries that came with it. In 1945, the Sodder home burned down the night before Christmas in which 5 of the 10 children of the Sodder family presumably died. However, no evidence was found that the children actually died in the fire. After the event, several clues came in of people saying that they had seen the kids. One woman claimed she saw all five missing children emerge from a passing car while the house was burning down; another woman claimed that she had seen four of the five a week after the fire after seeing the photo of the children in the newspaper. The woman also added: “The children were accompanied by two women and two men, all of the Italian extraction,” she said in a statement. “I tried to talk to the children in a friendly manner, but the men appeared hostile… and wouldn’t allow it.” Other evidence showed that the phone lines to the house were found to have been cut. It was theorized that the children were kidnapped, however, the reason as to why remains unknown.
