Let's Talk Racism Episode 1

About this post

In December, Year 3 TV students worked on 2 shows with students from England, The U.S.A, Hong Kong, Canada, South Africa, and India, called “Let’s Talk Racism”, inspired by the global protests against systemic racism and the Black Lives Matter movement following the death of American, George Floyd.

You can imagine that we normally shoot these shows live from a studio, with stories produced and played out from a master control in Canada.

This year was different but the result is flawless. Please check them out! Besides the shows, students individually partnered with a peer from a partner University to create a 10 minute story. These stories consisted of an interview relative to the topic of Racism. The result is a website with FASCINATING content from around the world, providing the stories from heads of companies, police, film makers, United Nations Youth Representatives, you name it!

Get lost in the content that is sorted into categories: Current Events, Activism, Education, History/Background, Media and Arts, Personal Stories and Work. You won’t be disappointed to see work from our students and students from around the world. HUGE accomplishment from our students here at BUAS.
