It is almost Christmas. A time of happiness, and togetherness. A time of sharing. And what is better to share than food? Even though times are rough, that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate and share with the people in our household. So why not make this Christmas the best it can be, and surprise them with a delicious and cheesy bread?

- 6g yeast 10g sugar
- 10g salt
- 335ml milk
- 100g herbed butter (melted)
- 100g old cheese (grated)
- Some green herbs
- Oven
- Oven plate

Step 1: Put the wheat, yeast, sugar, salt, milk, and half of the herbed butter in a bowl together. Knead the ingredients together for about 10-15 minutes till it is a flexible dough.
Step 2: Let it rise for about 10 minutes in a warm place, covered under a dishcloth.
Step 3: Divide the dough into 32 balls and place them loosely on the oven plate in the form of a Christmas tree. Let it rise for another 30 minutes in a warm place, covered under a dishcloth. Preheat the oven at 200oC
Step 4: Put the oven plate in the oven for 15 minutes
Step 5: Take out the oven plate, wearing oven gloves, and cover the bread in the leftover herbed butter and the cheese
Step 6: Put it in the oven for another 10 minutes
Step 7: Take out the oven plate, wearing oven gloves, and let the bread cool down for a bit. Cover the bread with a few herbs for that little bit extra.
Step 8: Enjoy your delicious creation with your household.
And there you have it. A delicious bread to share. It works as a snack, as an appetizer, or as a side-dish. No matter how you eat it; you’re guaranteed to enjoy it.
Happy Holidays and may this bread bring you and your household closer together.
