Duikboot Spring Festival 2023 – March 25

Do you like house music, are you ready to go crazy on some good techno beats, do you want to go back in time with some disco music or sing along with your favorite guilty pleasure songs? This festival offers it all! And we have some good news! There are still tickets available for the ‘Duikboot Lente (Spring) Festival 2023’.

Hop on Hop off Festival 2023 – March 31, April 1, and April 2

Where do you have to go for the biggest festival with specialty beer and food trucks in the Benelux? Right here in Breda! So when you, just like us, feel that it’s time for a beer, keep on reading. Several breweries are enthusiastic to let you taste their specialty beers. And of course, you can’t chug… uuhm we mean drink and taste beers in a delicate way when you don’t eat. Luckily, that is what the many food trucks at the festival are for (obviously). Take a seat in one of the many areas the organizers created to sit back and relax. Live music, DJs, and the games you can play will give the event a sociable atmosphere. On the 16.000 (!!!) square meters of this festival, you will also be able to see some small shows. And if you want, you can even bring your younger siblings. They can enjoy themselves on a bouncing castle, get their face painted, and much more. And just a kind reminder, never drink and drive! There will be extra buses driving from Breda station to the festival and back.

Paaskermis Breepark 2023 – March 31 – April 10

Don’t like festivals? Then this is the activity you should choose. Everyone enjoys being at a fair, right? Breda has his very own Easter fair at Breepark. So if you are not in the mood for easter egg hunting with your family, you could suggest eating candy floss and going on fast rides together this year. At Breepark fairs are being organized multiple times a year. So if you cannot convince your family to change the Easter traditions, be sure to go and win that stuffed animal some other time.

Festivities on Kingsday – April 27

Needless to say, there are enough opportunities to go crazy on Kingsday. There are parties on the street, especially in the centre of the city, but also many garage sales. Of course, there will be festivals you could stop by as well. If you enjoy techno, you should go to Breda International Airport to celebrate ‘Free Your Mind Kingsday’ (ticket sale). For more mainstream music the popular ‘538 Koningsdag’ festival is the way to go (ticket sale). Oh, and don’t let the name Kingsday fool you! The entire country will start partying the night before and will continue to do so all the way until the end of the day itself, so don’t miss out!
