Every day you wake up having a similar routine like the one you had a day before. Especially during times like these, regarding Covid-19, it is good to get yourself out of the regular slur. If you’re anything like me or most students, you sleep in as much as you can before your online class starts. Hopefully, you did get yourself ready for the day and are you not still half asleep watching your lecture. What is the perfect solution to get yourself out of bed you ask? A cup of coffee of course! And to spice your morning coffee up even more, here are some recipes that make you want to get up and start your day.

Apple cinnamon latte
This latte is perfect for the cold upcoming winter days while watching your lecture. You could also turn it into a dessert coffee by topping it off with whipped cream!

Ingredients
1 medium apple sliced and chopped or 4 tbsp of apple syrup
2 heaped tsp honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
2 pinches of ground coffee granules
1 cup (240 ml±) water
1/2 cup (125 ml±) milk

Instructions
1.In a saucepan (a saucepan is best to use because you have to blend later on), add apples, honey, coffee and cinnamon with water.
2.Heat the saucepan at medium flame for 5 mins and low flame for another 5 mins.
3.Turn off the flame and take a hand blender to blend the apples to form a smooth mixture.
4.Use a tea strainer to separate the liquid and the pulp.
5.In a saucepan, add the milk and at medium flame whisk it to form foam. 6.Add apple sauce to the milk and whisk again for 2 to 3 mins.
7.Pour into a glass. Top with whip cream and more cinnamon powder.
8.Serve immediately.

Notes
If you don't plan to use it straight away, don't mix the milk with the apple sauce. Whenever you are ready to drink it, start with step. no. 5. If you chose to use apple syrup, you can add all the ingredients directly in the saucepan and bring them all to heat together.
